Only a rumor sent to me by Zannon...but hell

"Harmonix Rockband Led Zeppelin” Listed in Resume

There is no further information about whether this was a real project at one time, or more believably a proposed pitch for getting Led Zeppelin in to such a title, but Harmonix has made it clear several different times this year (livestreams, Q&As, etc.) that they are not working on any band-specific titles at this time.

Response from Harmonix regarding this:

Quote:
As we’ve noted before, we’re constantly in talks with all major artists and labels. That said, Harmonix has never been in development on a Led Zeppelin game, though we’d obviously be thrilled to have them in Rock Band.

There was a pretty big Rock Band Blitz review/info release today. Lots about the game, but the biggest were the additions to the setlist. So far, so good in terms of songs with a fun factor and bands that are either not in the game or don't have enough songs in the game. Here's what was announced today along with the ones that were announced before:

Quote:
All-American Rejects – "Kids in the Street"
Barenaked Ladies – "One Week"
Collective Soul – "Shine"
Elton John – "I’m Still Standing"
Fall Out Boy – "A Little Less Sixteen Candles"
Great White – "Once Bitten Twice Shy"
Iron Maiden – "Wicker Man"
Living Colour – "Cult of Personality"
P!nk – "Raise Your Glass"
Shinedown – "Diamond Eyes"
Tears for Fears – "Shout"
Blink 182 – Always
Foster the People – Pumped Up Kicks
Quiet Riot – Metal Health
Rick Springfield – Jessie’s Girl

6/5 DLC - Kind of a crazy mix of 3 singles:

Quote:
Cracker – “Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)”
Florence + the Machine – “Dog Days Are Over”
Midnight Oil – “Power and the Passion”

OK, the 6/12 DLC was a single track due to some last minute license issue:

Quote:
Incubus – Drive

The 6/19 DLC is another 3 pack of singes:

Quote:
Angels & Airwaves – The Adventure
Owl City – Fireflies
Queens of the Stone Age – In My Head *

Also there was an announcement last week of three bands getting DLC soo (although one of them appears to be a single next week:

Quote:
The B-52s
Daughtry
Queens of the Stone Age

And to round out the weakest month in Rock Band DLC...Carrie Underwood 3-pack for 6/26:

Quote:
Carrie Underwood – “Before He Cheats” O
• Carrie Underwood – “Cowboy Casanova” O
• Carrie Underwood – “Good Girl” X

I used to despise Love Shack. But it would probably be fun in RB.

Guilty pleasure of mine on long road trips. I like stuff that keeps me awake when I act stupid and sing along. I'd probably get this one if I had RB.

Rock Band Blitz comes out 8/29 and will be only $14.99, making it a crazy good deal for a 25 song track pack. 4 more of the songs were just announced:

Quote:
Avenged Sevenfold – So Far Away
Fun. ft. Janelle Monáe – We Are Young
Kool & The Gang – Jungle Boogie
My Chemical Romance – Sing

And here's the complete list so far so you don't have to go looking for it:

Quote:
All-American Rejects – Kids in the Street
Avenged Sevenfold – So Far Away
Blink 182 – Always
Barenaked Ladies – One Week
Collective Soul – Shine
Elton John – I’m Still Standing
Fall Out Boy – A Little Less Sixteen Candles
Foster the People – Pumped Up Kicks

Great White – Once Bitten Twice Shy
Iron Maiden – Wicker Man
Kool & The Gang – Jungle Boogie
Living Colour – Cult of Personality
My Chemical Romance – Sing
P!nk – Raise Your Glass
Quiet Riot – Metal Health
Rick Springfield – Jessie’s Girl
Shinedown – Diamond Eyes
Tears for Fears – Shout

Wow. That is messed up. I am seeing a lot more of that crap lately though with purchases. Either stuff is completely DOA or it requires some amount of work to get it to function as intended. Hope you can get a replacement rather easily.

I went into the in-game RB store a few mins ago and these songs were listed with a release date of 8/7:

Quote:
Still of the Night by Whitesnake
I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew
Crawling in the Dark by Hoobastank

We'll see if they're the songs for next week by 10am tomorrow I guess. I guess the summer of meh must be coming to an end because there's a song in this pack that I'm actually excited to play. Hopefully this is the start to some better weeks ahead.

And, no. It gave me an error when I tried to buy them saying the content was currently unavailable for purchase.

While I like some of these songs in the recent weeks I guess I don't see how they would be fun to play in a game.

Still of the Night and I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight I can see. But Foreigner? Really? I mean I used to enjoy playing Bryan Adams Everything You Do on my Violin back in the day but I couldn't see that translating to a game very well.

Sorry if this derails your thread but I have been pondering picking this stuff up now that I almost have a full band in house. Some of these songs just make me wonder.
