Is there a limit on how many guys you can waiver at once? Reason I ask is, I waived 3 guys to pickup three others and for some reason, one of them did not go through. Anyone else had this issue before?

I think you can only waiver 2 at a time when its not active trade time (like before season starts)

Or someone else got the guy you wanted ;)

Yeah, I waived three guys...One of the guys I tried to pick up was LT, the three player swaps showed up on my page as it would go through on 9/9...Well only two of them went through...How does that work? Can two people try to pick up the same avail players? Once I select a replacement player, I thought I had first rights? Just curious how this works...Guess I need to R.T.F.M.

That's cuz I put a waiver in for LT way back on monday so since I put mine in first, I get him :)

Thats cool, makes sense...I think they need to let the person know that player has already been flagged by someone else. Problem is, it just goes ahead and shows that you have selected this player, makes it look like you will get the player, even though someone else has first rights.

Assuming we see any ball this year, let's mix it up a little. Live draft? An odd rule or two?

The problem with a live draft is everyone's schedules. Not saying it can't happen it is just not that easy to coordinate. I am okay with different rules. I kind of like the rules where you get different points based on the distance of the play that resulted in a TD. Like a 20 yd rushing TD would be 6 points but a goal line plunge only 4. 50 yard plays can be 10 points. Those are independent of the points received just for pure yardage.

Yup...I'll get it going. Any special rules this year? Like if your team isn't winning every game, you still have to make an attempt to win every week. There were about 3 people last year that stopped playing half way through the season like little bitches.

So are we having a monkey league this year? I could probably get the Mrs to play if we need to replace Jabe.

I got an invite (thanks) but I can't roll with it this year - I hardly did anything with it last year because it is blocked at work.

Oh what the hell. I'll give it another try. I've never been a fantasy football fan, but for some reason, I've had some interest in trying it again. Do you need an email address or what?

Well, it was left at Yahoo defaults, so I can see them saying that. I didn't get #1 or #2 picks since I don't have Arian or Adrian...

some thoughts about the last 2 years of FF...

the last two years we made sure we had at least 10 - 12 teams in the mix to play...I thinkk this has made it less fun to play...here's why...

the last two years I know I've had shitty drafts, and since we've had many teams, there is never anymore to pick up even for a week stint, because there's just no one worth anything left available...so you're basically stuck with whoever you auto-drafted...I personally had more fun and more time invested when we had less teams and I would manage my team more...now if i look it even once a week I'm lucky

what do you think?

I'm with Dooo on this one. You've made like 2 roster moves all season, had the #4 pick and you're in last place. I know of at least one more game you would have won if you checked your roster before the first game because you played guys on a bye and lost that week. I lost to a guy this week that didn't fill two roster spots. It sucks to lose, but a little effort can go a long way once in a while. If I remember right, you gave up trying mid way through last season too.

So are we adding defensive positions this year or just sticking with defenses?

I just stuck with defenses, dropped the max number of teams to 10 and made the flex offensive position WR/RB/TE. If everyone wants defensive positions, we can do that too, majority rules on that one, so speak up now.

As long as I can get at least one missionary position...and a couple reverse cowgirl - I'm good.

Set it up as a free league for fun again this year. Same set up as last year. If ya plan to bitch about your team sucking again this year, I don't want to hear it, so don't accept the invite if that's all you plan on doing again all season. Also, if you plan on abandoning your team mid way through the season when you start losing, then don't join the league.

So right before Sunday's preseason games and possible career-ending injuries.

We didn't draft?

League info:

Quote:
Your auto draft will be completed between now and 11:59 PM PT on Friday, Sep 6.
Leagues that complete drafts (live, auto, offline) after 11:59pm PT on Wednesday, September 4 will start scoring in week 2. However, the commissioner can adjust the league setting "Start League scoring in" to Week 1.

Let's get it done!
