I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. Something coordinated around the movie release maybe?

Look for that announcement this Aug or Sept. Rumors are that a full 1/3 of Hollywood Studios will be transformed into Star Wars and another 1/3 of the park is getting dedicated to all Pixar movies. They've already been testing Star Wars character meals there during Star Wars weekends this year and last year. I went to the one that had characters oddly themed to the Cantina, yet it wasn't in the cantina last year.

They had the Cantina Band characters out all weekend at Star Wars Weekends this weekend, but I didn't get to see them.

Just having Star Wars characters to interact with at the park made it one of my favorite memories of being at DisneyWorld.

Jawas will trade with you. They carry around nick-nacks and they paw at your stuff trying to get you to trade with them. My 5yo daughter traded one a Buzz Lightyear sticker and he gave her a wood bead necklace.

SandPeople mill around acting like idiot mimes (not really who they are but its funny). They act like aliens who don't understand anything. One started trying to go through Liz's purse/bag. We tried giving him a sticker and first it tried to eat it, then when Liz handed it to the Sandperson with the sticky back exposed he did a hilarious "GET IT OFF" routine while it was stuck to his finger. Kids kept trying to get them to sign their books, and they would cautiously look at the book, and the pen, and then they'd tuck the book under their arm and walk away. Everyone laughed every time.

StormTroopers walk around bossing people around, and other obscure characters like Zam Wessle or Aura Sing walk around and will stop for photo ops and autographs.

And I got to get my pic taken with Boba Fett and Darth Vader. And do Star Tours 2x. The Pixar characters and Midway ride are always amazing.

Like if they hit that 1/3 SW and 1/3 Pixar plan, it might go from my least fave to my most fave park.

You can be pretty insensitive sometimes, man. They are using child labor.

Back on topic: I saw the bar in-progress above the walls. The exterior structure is done and "HANGAR" is above the main building. That's about it though.
