Hopefully, by the time this comes I'll have forgotten most of the stuff made after #2. The first two deserved a good quality resolution. And Hicks & Newt definitely should have survived. Bishop, too!

I want to see Ripley nuke Company HQ from orbit, as she recites the casualty list of The Nostromo crew and the "Ultimate Badasses" platoon. Maybe she even fully snaps and starts calling Newt 'Amanda' as the MIRV warheads rain down.

I remember sitting in the theater for 3, and when they fucking killed off Hicks and Newt in the opening 30 seconds, I remember thinking "FUCK. THIS. SHIT." I have never shaken that opinion. Seriously, Aliens 2 resonated with soooooo many people (and obvs Alien) that doing that to beloved characters, characters who meant THE WORLD to Ripley, was the ultimate dick move, and I mentally bailed from anything thereafter.

This guy's take on how great Aliens still is to fresh, jaded, young eyes 20 years later is telling of what a crime Aliens 3 (and later 4) was: http://www.rogerebert.com/mzs/watching- ... ch-of-kids
